It seemed like two ordinary days at KOVSIES, but if you entered the Callie Human Building, you stepped into a complete different buzz. The annual Bloem Build Expo skilfully put together by SAIA Free State, UFS Department of Architecture & UFS University Estates, was held on 25 & 26 July 2018.

ACORN proudly coloured the expo red with our giveaway hardhats. Our expo stand decorated with Lego-built walls, ended up being a magnet for both students and professionals.

This was not your typical expo. The program was carefully planned and offered multiple networking opportunities. It included hype activities, lucky draws, music, lectures and the exhibitors were treated to a lovely cocktail evening that presented even more time for networking.

Nothing compares to spending time in the presence of like minded people.

The winner of our Best-slogan Competition walked away with a Bosch Laser Measuring Set worth R1800. The slogan read: ACORNerstone of construction.
